<li>Abstract : The Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) is a seven-storey, 86,900 m² smart-factory integrating EV manufacturing, R&amp;D, and customer experience functions. To meet high structural demands within a compressed schedule, a composite system of Prefabricated Steel-Reinforced Concrete (PSRC) columns and Thin-Steel Composite (TSC) beams was adopted. The PSRC system—characterized by steel angles, bolt-only connections, permanent steel formwork—eliminated field welding and temporary shoring, reducing on-site labour by approximately 40% and shortening construction by five months. Design followed Eurocodes with the Singapore National Annex. The PSRC–TSC frame satisfied Class 3 robustness criteria through key-element design. Despite pandemic-related logistics challenges, the prefabricated PSRC-TSC system proved effective and is formally recognized in Singapore’s forthcoming BC4:2025 Design Guide. The project affirms the PSRC–TSC system’s potential for high-performance, prefabricated industrial structures.</li>

<p>국내 기술로 개발된 선조립 합성공법이 싱가포르 건축설계기준에 정식 등재된다. 국내 설계기준에 앞서 등재되는 것으로, 까다롭기 소문난 싱가포르에서 인정받았다는 점에서 남다른 의미를 지닌다.</p>

16일 센엔지니어링그룹(대표이사 회장 이창남)에 따르면 ㈜센코어테크(대표 이승환)가 개발ㆍ제작ㆍ시공 중인 PSRC(Prefabricated SRC)기둥은 곧 발간될 싱가포르 BC4 디자인가이드 최신 개정판에 등재될 예정이다.</p>
<p>BC4 디자인가이드는 BCA(싱가포르 건설청)에서 발간하는 싱가포르 건축설계기준으로, 자국의 설계기준에 다른 나라의 공법을 넣은 셈이다. PSRC의 우수성을 인정한 결과다.</p>
<p>PSRC는 기존 SRC(Steel Reinforced Concrete, 철골+철근콘크리트)조를 공장에서 거푸집까지 선조립한 뒤, 현장에서는 단순 설치 후 콘크리트 타설만 해 합성시키는 공법이다. 기존 SRC조에서 수반되는 비계ㆍ거푸집 작업이 필요 없는 데다, 볼팅 연결로 용접도 최소화했다. 그만큼 공기를 단축할 뿐 아니라 인력 투입이 적어 안전 측면에서도 뛰어나다. 특히, SRC조에서 핵심 구조재 역할을 하는 H형강 대신 4개의 모서리에 ‘ㄱ’ 자의 수직 앵글을 넣어, 하중 분산을 통한 자립성과 시공안정성을 더욱 높였다.</p>
<p>센코어테크의 PSRC는 이미 싱가포르 구조공학계에서 그 기술력을 인정받았다. 지난해 BCA가 주최한 ‘올해의 프로젝트(Project of The Year 2024)’ 중 산업용 건물 부문 후보로 현대차 글로벌 혁신센터와 JTC 물류 허브(최종 수상)가 올랐는데, 두 프로젝트 모두 센코어테크의 PSRC가 적용됐다.</p>
<p>이번 BC4 등재도 싱가포르 구조공학계가 주선했다는 후문이다. 리처드 리우 싱가포르국립대(NUS) 건설환경공학부 교수 겸 학부장이 PSRC의 BC4 등재를 강력히 주장했고, BCA가 이를 받아들였다는 전언이다. 리우 교수는 싱가포르 구조공학계에 영향력이 큰 인물로, 현대차 글로벌 혁신센터 및 JTC 물류 허브에 센코어테크의 PSRC를 적용하는 것에 대한 제3자 검증(피어리뷰)을 수행했다. 매번 피어리뷰를 하는 것보다 아예 설계기준에 넣은 게 국가적 이익이라고 판단한 것이다.</p>
<p>이에 더해 이승환 센코어테크 대표는 오는 22일 싱가포르 구조기술사회(ISE 싱가포르지부)와 NUS가 공동 주최하는 ‘제11회 구조엔지니어 아시아 퍼시픽 포럼’에 연사로 나서 PSRC를 소개할 예정이다. 영국 구조기술사회(ISE), 영국 아루프(ARUP) 그룹, 뉴질랜드 베카(BECA) 그룹 등에서 참여하는 12명의 연사 중 유일한 한국인이다.</p>

<li>Abstract : In large industrial buildings, precast prestressed concrete beams and composite columns are appealing to achieve longer span and higher story height, with temporary supporting and scaffolding minimized. To facilitate field erection of moment connection between precast beams and composite columns, a bracket connection transferring beam loads to the column by connecting the beam to a composite bracket attached to the column has been developed. Since precast beams are lap-spliced and integrated with the bracket by concrete engagement at the interfaces, the connection performance depends on beam lap length and load transfer details (i.e., concrete shear keys). In this study, the seismic performance of precast prestressed concrete beam-to-composite column joints with the bracket connection was experimentally and analytically investigated. Cyclic loading tests were conducted on four full-scale specimens with different beam lap lengths and load transfer details. For the specimens with a longer beam lap length, the bracket connection successfully transferred the beam flexural strength to the column with the connection barely damaged. The governing failure mode was beam flexural yield occurring at the bracket end. However, for the specimen with a shorter beam lap length, relative slips at the interfaces of the beam and bracket occurred and thus the strength was governed by the bracket connection. Excellent ductility satisfying the acceptance limit of special moment frame in AISC 341 was achieved in all specimens. The load transfer at the bracket connection through concrete shear keys and other details were further investigated through finite element analysis. Design models to predict the connection strength were proposed and the validity of the models was verified through comparisons with the tests and analyses.</li>

<li>Abstract : Concrete-filled U-shaped steel beams (or T-type steel concrete (TSC) beams) and bolt-connected steel angle composite columns (or Prefabricated steel-reinforced concrete (PSRC) columns) enable rapid and efficient construction of large industrial buildings. In existing details for TSC beam–PSRC column joints using cut-off beam flange plates, early fracture of the beam web plate at the weld-connection limited the deformation capacity. For better seismic performance and constructability, this study proposed an enhanced beam-column joint method for TSC beams and PSRC columns, using the beam flange plates extended inside the joint and the bolt-connections for joint fabrication. The seismic performance of the proposed joint method was evaluated in interior beam-column joint specimens that included two current specimens and two existing specimens. All specimens showed ductile behavior through plastic hinges at the beam ends without premature joint shear failure. The proposed beam-column joint specimens showed the enhanced deformation and energy dissipation capacities by restraining local buckling, fracture, and anchorage slip of the beam U-section, thus satisfying the code-specified requirements for special moment frames. Further, the strength efficiency improved by 22 %, and the predictions of the beam flexural strength and joint shear strength agreed with the test results.</li>
